I painted this quiet house as a small place of warmth held inside an immense blue evening. The vivid orange roof became a kind of ember against the cool sky, while the dark foreground gives the scene a gentle sense of distance and reflection. I wanted the simple geometry of the home, the rounded trees, and the layered horizon to feel both familiar and dreamlike—a remembered landscape seen just before night settles in. The textured oil brushwork keeps the surface alive, allowing the colors to shift softly as the light in the room changes. Framed and ready to bring a calm, distinctive presence to a home.
