I painted this quiet northern landscape as a study in distance, stillness, and the small signs of human life within an open world. The red cabins sit against the immense blue of the sky and water, creating a gentle tension between shelter and solitude. I wanted the wide horizon to feel almost timeless, as if the viewer has arrived at the edge of the day and discovered a place where everything has briefly become still. The restrained palette and simple forms invite a slower kind of looking, allowing the atmosphere to unfold gradually. Presented in a light wooden frame, this original work brings a sense of spacious calm to a contemporary, coastal, or Scandinavian interior.
